Kavan Jet Ranger was probably the first collective pitch RC helicopter available to the market. It used a Bell control system like the full size, but used paddles instead of plain weights for dampening (different from the modern Bell/Hiller mix control as the paddles did not change the angle of attack). Graupner Bell 212 used a Hiller control system with collective pitch. Both of these German helicopters flew very well.
